Injection Nozzles: Notes
Problems with injection nozzles usually are accompanied by knocking in 1 or more cylinders, engine overheating, loss of power or performance, black exhaust smoke, and increased fuel consumption. To locate and correct faulty injectors, proceed as follows:
One at a time, with engine running at fast idle, loosen line unions on each injection nozzle. If engine speed remains constant with line removed that nozzle is defective.

NOTE:
When one or more injectors are replaced or adjusted, all other injectors must be tested and adjusted if necessary. Failure to do so will affect engine performance.
