Electronic Control Unit (Ecu)
The ECU is a microprocessor based computer that receives and evaluates readings from various sensors. The control unit then produces a signal that is sent to each injector to ensure the correct amount of fuel delivery for all operating conditions. Located in the right kick panel, it also controls the Constant Idle Speed system.
CAUTION:
ECU will be damaged if subjected to temperatures above 176°F (80°C). Always remove ECU from vehicle when welding any part(s) of the vehicle. Do not connect or disconnect ECU unit when ignition is turned on.
