ISSUE & TIP
On 700 series Volvos, the protective cover over the distributor cap can cause a slight engine misfire. Remove the distributor cover, then check for black streaks inside the cover that would indicate that secondary ignition sparks are jumping to the cover. Replace any damaged ignition components.
