Fuel Injectors (960)

  1. Turn ignition off and remove fuse No. 24. Connect Measuring Unit (999-3070 ) between ECU and ECU connector. See Figure . Turn ignition on.
  2. Connect voltmeter between measuring unit terminals No. 17 and 24, and between terminals No. 16 and 24. In both cases, battery voltage should be present.
  3. Turn ignition off. Connect an ohmmeter between terminals No. 37 and 17. Resistance should be approximately 5.3 ohms. Connect ohmmeter between terminals No. 37 and 16. Resistance should be approximately 5.3 ohms.
  4. Disconnect injector connectors. Using an ohmmeter, check resistance of each injector. Resistance should be 16 ohms at 68°F (20°C). Replace as necessary.
