System Operation Check

Turn ignition switch to ON position (engine not running). If no fault codes are present, ROPS warning light should go out after 5 seconds. The following conditions indicate ROPS system is malfunctioning and an ROPS fault code will be stored in crash sensor memory:

• ROPS light does not illuminate.
• ROPS light does not go out after 5 seconds.
• ROPS light does not go out after engine is started.
• ROPS light comes on while driving.
