Checking intake system: Remove/disconnect:

• tool 9995545 and pressure regulator 9995544 from fresh air hose
• hoses from EVAP valve
• connector
• Connect hose from vacuum pump 9995843 to connection point under connector.
• Pump up vacuum
• Vacuum gauge should indicate steady value.
• If vacuum falls, replace EVAP valve.

Reinstall valve, hoses, soundproofing and connector on completion of check. Use clamp 9814215 and new  hose clip, P/N 97 81 65-9, when installing.
