| -air pressure in tires. | Always adjust the air pressure if required. A car which has stood for a long time gets a tire deformation which disappears after an hour's driving. Make sure you drive at a low speed until the tires have regained their roundness. See: Wheels, tires and steering . |

| -the car in terms of its external finish. | Report all damage. In the event of damage, do the following. |
| -warning decals for the SRS system. | Legal requirements for the relevant market. |

| If the windscreen is very dirty, it must be cleaned before the windscreen wipers are used. | A very dirty windscreen can become damaged if the wipers start on a dry screen. |
| Wash the car. | Use car cleaner. |
| Also clean the windows internally if necessary. | Remove any leftover tape. |
| Attach decals to the front side window's rear lower corner. | |
| Wipe clean the steering wheel and gear lever. The customer must clearly be aware that he has become the owner of a quality car from Volvo. |
Check that the driver seat and the rest of the interior are clean and free of stains. Check that the boot contains the spare wheel, tools, warning triangle, etc. |
