Pre-delivery service: Notes

Action: Comments:
Remove the following components:  
- any brake disc guards, spring spacers and "tiedown" hooks. "Tiedown" hooks must be returned to Volvo in the following way.
- "rapgard" paint protection. The protective film should not stay on the body for more than 4 months. See date stamp.
-transport protection Applies to seats, floors, panels, doors, gear selectors, etc.
Make sure that seat pockets, door compartments, glove box, central compartment, etc. are empty.
This check also applies to the boot.
Install:  
-supplied components.
-supplied fuses.
Wheel caps, spoiler, extra light, front towing eye cap, etc.
Set the switch for the boot lighting to the automatic position.
CD holder for CD player or RTI. Relevant market.
Connect car's starter battery. See: Storage maintenance
Adjust radio for relevant market.
Set the clock to the right time.  
Set service reminder to zero (SRL). See: Resetting the service reminder indicator (SRI)
Check:  
-air pressure in tires. Always adjust the air pressure if required.
A car which has stood for a long time gets a tire deformation which disappears after an hour's driving.
Make sure you drive at a low speed until the tires have regained their roundness.

-that any information or address slips are not left on the windows.  
-the car in terms of its external finish. Report all damage.
In the event of damage, do the following.
-warning decals for the SRS system. Legal requirements for the relevant market.
Other:  
If the windscreen is very dirty, it must be cleaned before the windscreen wipers are used. A very dirty windscreen can become damaged if the wipers start on a dry screen.
Wash the car. Use car cleaner.
Also clean the windows internally if necessary. Remove any leftover tape.
Attach decals to the front side window's rear lower corner.
Wipe clean the steering wheel and gear lever.
The customer must clearly be aware that he has become the owner of a quality car from Volvo.
Check that the driver seat and the rest of the interior are clean and free of stains.
Check that the boot contains the spare wheel, tools, warning triangle, etc.
Questionnaire:
-any questionnaire is completed. If a questionnaire is supplied with the car, this must be completed and returned to Volvo.
