Removing ABS Control Module

Switch off ignition.

Open the hood.

Cars with turbo engine: 

Cars with air-conditioning

Remove the coolant hose out of the clips.

Remove the windshield washer fluid hoses out of the clips.

Remove both brake pipe brackets on the inside of the front wing.

Remove the two bolts of the power steering fluid reservoir.

Carefully clean the complete ABS unit.

Disconnect the connector.

Remove the two nuts from the support and remove the ABS unit from the support.

Remove the two bolts and remove the support.

Lift the ABS unit as far as possible and move it carefully towards the engine as far as possible.

NOTE: Avoid bending the AC pipe on its connections.

Disconnect the lower connector (A) and remove the two cables from the control module.

Remove torx 20 (6x) of the control module.

Carefully remove the control module from the hydraulic module.

NOTE: Watch out not to loose the leaf spring (if present) between the hydraulic module and the control module.
