Installing the ABS control module

Check that the seal is clean.

CAUTION:

The surface must not be mechanically processed using a file or scraper. Use a plastic tool.

Never clean using a solvent.

Clean the mating surface.

Remove the transport protection.

Carefully install the control module. Install the control module with the connector in the correct position relative to the valves.

Install and hand-tighten the central screw.

Install the four Torx screws in the following two stages:

Tighten the central bolt. Tighten to 17 Nm.

Position the rubber on the central bolt. Install the unit in the support.

Install the rubber components in the support and the unit. Install the support with the two bolts on the front-rear gutter.

Center and tighten the bolts to 25 Nm.

NOTE:

Secure the ground lead for the ABS hydraulic modulator at the rear screw.

Connect the connector.

Secure the brake pipes to the front fender liner.

Position the engine coolant hose(s).
