Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor

Disconnect Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) sensor connector. Using an ohmmeter, measure resistance at ECM side of connector. See ENGINE COOLANT TEMPERATURE SENSOR in SENSOR OPERATING RANGE CHARTS article. If resistance is not as specified, replace sensor.
