Description & Operation

NOTE: Information on S80 was not available from manufacturer. Wiring diagrams are included for aiding diagnosis.

All models are equipped with power windows. All C70 models use control modules to monitor and operate power window system. Power window switches are located on respective door panel or on rear center console. See Fig 1 . Driver and passenger's power window is equipped with a one-touch auto-down feature. Depressing either front door's power window switch to down position as far as possible and releasing it will cause window to roll all the way down. Pulling up on either front door's power window switch to up position as far as possible and releasing it will cause window to roll up completely.

The C70 convertible is equipped with an "all windows" button, located on driver's door panel, which allows to raise or lower all windows at the same time. To lower all windows at the same time, depress the right side of the all windows button and hold. To raise all windows at the same time, depress left side of all windows button. The all windows button has a one-touch auto-down feature. By depressing the right side of the all windows down button as far down as possible and releasing it will cause all windows to roll down completely. During convertible top operation, the side windows will lower, if in full up position, and then return to full up position.

Rear door power windows are equipped with a manual lock-out feature. A switch located on power window switch on driver's door controls ability of rear door windows from being operated by rear seat passengers. Turning the switch to ON position enables the rear door power window switches. Turning the switch to OFF position disables the rear door power window switches.

Convertible models are equipped with rear window lockout. By pulling up rear window switches on driver's door and quickly releasing them, will disable rear console mounted switches. An indicator light near the driver's door switches will illuminate as a reminder of rear window control lockout.
