Diagnostic Procedure

Fault can be intermittent or permanent. Before diagnosing internal fault, check wiring and connections for intermittent fault conditions. See CHECKING WIRING & CONNECTIONS .

To verify a faulty PCM, replace module with a known good unit. See REMOVAL, OVERHAUL & INSTALLATION - EXCEPT S40 & V40 article.
