Fault Conditions

ECM has registered an internal or external fault and ECM-982A is stored.

No substitute value is used, but some systems are disabled. Accelerator pedal is ignored when braking. Cruise control cannot be activated. RPM is limited using fuel shut off. Maximum permitted engine speed depends on accelerator pedal position Throttle unit follows pulse width modulation accelerator pedal signal directly. Control signal via CAN is ignored.

Electronic Throttle System (ETS) Warning Light is lit while ECM-982A is set. DTC can cause uneven idle and jerking during engine braking.
