Diagnostic functions: Programming

To increase the security of the immobilizer system, the central electronic module (CEM) and the engine control module (ECM) are linked to each other with codes. Codes must be programmed in when replacing a control module in order for the vehicle to be started. Programming replaced control modules takes place automatically when downloading software into the new control module.
