General Inspection

The following points should be carefully checked if leakage is suspected. See Fig 1. Both the hoses and hose connections must be checked.

1. Upper charge-air pipe
2. Turbocharger control valve and the boost pressure control valve
3. Brake servo
4. Crankcase ventilation
5. Mass air flow sensor
6. Air intake hose
7. Turbocharger control valve
8. Throttle body
9. Lower charge-air pipe
10. Idle air control valve
11. EVAP charcoal filter
12. Canister purge valve
13. Vacuum connections on the intake manifold
14. Charge air cooler
15. Intake manifold and the gasket
16. Crankcase ventilation and the oil trap
17. Fuel pressure regulator
18. Injectors and seals
19. Exhaust system
