Reduced alarm function

WARNING: This page does not describe the selected car, but rather 7 other vehicles, including the 2007 Volvo V70, 2006 Volvo V70, 2005 Volvo V70, 2004 Volvo V70, and 2003 Volvo V70. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

The switch for reduced alarm function is located in the climate control comfort panel. The switch is used to temporarily deactivate the inclination sensor module (ISM), mass movement sensor module (MMS) and deadlock mode when the vehicle is locked. An integrated LED in the switch indicates when the function is activated.

The function is activated during a locking cycle, i. e. from the time the button is depressed and the vehicle is locked until the vehicle is unlocked. When the ignition is once again turned to position II, reduced function is deactivated.

Examples of applications for this function include when a person or pet remains inside the vehicle after the vehicle has been locked, and if the vehicle is transported by tow truck or on-board a ferry.
