Option (2000-2004): Option

CHECK THE FOLLOWING FROM INSIDE THE CAR

Interior rear view mirror and door mirrors  Check that the mirror glass is undamaged. Check that the mirror can be moved to the anti-dazzle position. Check the mirror mounting. If the car is equipped with power door mirrors, check the function.
Glove compartment lighting  Check the function.
Courtesy lighting  Check the function.
Indicator lamps  Check the function of all control and warning lamps.
Instrument lighting  Check the function and that the lighting strength can be controlled.
Climate control, heater control and fan  Check function switch.
Rear windshield demister  Check that the lamp in the switch functions.
Signal  Check the function.
Turn signal lamps  Check the function and the low beam setting.
High and low beams  Check the function and the low beam setting
Seat belts  Jerk the seat belt and check the locking function. Inspect the seat belt, mountings and buckles for any signs of wear or damage. Check that the warning system functions.
CHECK THE FOLLOWING FROM OUTSIDE THE CAR

Exterior lighting and reflectors and any fog lamps, front and rear  Check the function and for any damage. Check the headlamp beam alignment.
License plate, front and rear  Check the mounting. Check for any damage.
Check the function of the license plate lamps.
Body and glass  Check the condition of the windshield and for any defects in the other windows. Inspect for bodywork damage that needs correcting or touching up.
Doors  Check the function of all the door locks, hinges and doorstops. Check the weatherstrips, lock facings and window lift mechanisms.
Door mirrors  Check the mountings. Check that the glass is undamaged. Test the fold function.
Wheels, tires and mudguards  Check and/or adjust the tire pressure. Check the condition of the rims. Check that the mudguards are correctly secured.
gasoline/diesel heaters (where applicable)  Check the function.
RECOMMENDATIONS TO THE CUSTOMER

Battery replacement  Replace the batteries every other year. This applies to equipment such as remote control etc.
Power antenna  Clean and lubricate at every service.
