Misfire Counter, Average

The engine control module (ECM) calculates the average number of misfires in 10 operating cycles, all cylinders.

The value is affected by misfires which affect emissions and cause catalytic converter damage.

The value is reset when erasing diagnostic trouble codes.

Normal value is 0 (= no misfire).
