There is a display for text messages etc in the center of the tachometer in the driver information module (DIM) (5/1). This provides the driver with supplementary information about the various warning symbols. This is to reduce the number of different symbols in the combined instrument panel. Other types of messages, such as the functions of the trip computer, are also displayed. Depending on the circumstances, a request for these messages may come from the central electronic module (CEM) (4/56) or the steering wheel module (SWM) (3/130).

There is an order of priority where all warning messages have precedence.
