Laser Safety
WARNING:
Risk of eye injuries if any of these instructions are not followed.
NOTE:
The laser sensor in the Closing velocity module (CVM) is active in ignition position II.
- Do not disassemble the laser sensor (including removal of the lenses). A disassembled laser sensor fulfills class 3B according to standard IEC 60825-1. Laser class 3B is harmful to eyes and there is therefore a risk of injury.
- To prevent exposure of harmful radiation, do not perform any adjustments or maintenance other than that stated here.
- The laser sensor must be installed on the windscreen before making contacts.
- The laser sensor's contacts must be disconnected before the laser sensor is removed from the windscreen.
- There is a risk of causing eye damage by looking into the opening of the laser sensor (that gives off invisible laser radiation) with magnifying optic devices such as magnifying glass, microscope, objective or similar optical instruments at a distance shorter than 100 mm.
Laser - radiation data:
Maximum average output: 45 mW
Pulse width: 33 ns
Divergence (horizontal x vertical): 28° x 12°
