Tailgate System
The task of the Power Operated Tailgate Module (POT) is to check the tailgate's automatic opening and closing mechanism. To achieve this, it is included in a system together with the following components:
| No. | Component | Included in components | Remarks |
| 1 | Motor boot lid opening/closing (6/165) | - | Operates the tailgate up or down. |
| 2 | Hall sensors | Motor boot lid opening/closing (6/165) | |
| 3 | Switch handle | License plate lighting (10/3) | Used for opening the tailgate. Located in the center of the outside of the tailgate. |
| 4 | Switch closing boot lid | - | Button for closing the tailgate. Is located on the lower edge of the tailgate. |
| 5 | Lighting luggage compartment | - | |
| 6 | Motor closing, boot lid | - | Pulls in the tailgate the last bit. Is located by the lock unit in the tailgate. |
| 7 | Lock bolt | Lock motor central locking system tailgate (6/8) | Lock bolt releases when the lid is to be opened. Locks the boot lid shut when the lid is closed. |
| 8 | Sensor 1 (inner lock position) | Lock motor central locking system tailgate (6/8) | Detects together with Sensor 2 (outer lock position) if the tailgate is fully closed, in the inner lock position or open. Is integrated in the lock unit. |
| 9 | Sensor 2 (outer lock position) | Lock motor central locking system tailgate (6/8) | Detects together with Sensor 1 (inner lock position) if the tailgate is fully closed, in the outer lock position or open. Is integrated in the lock unit. |
| In addition, the following two components are indirectly considered part of the system: | |||
| 10 | Inner, switch | Light switch module (LSM) (3/111) | Used for opening the boot lid. The switch is diagnosed by the Central electronic module (CEM). The switch must be held in for 500 milliseconds to activate opening. |
| 11 | Remote key | - | If the button with the boot lid symbol is depressed for 500 milliseconds, the boot lid opens. |
