Gear Selection By Paddles

Gear selection by paddles can be performed with the gear selector in position D or Geartronic. To be able to shift with the steering wheel paddles, they must first be activated. This is done by pulling one of the paddles towards the steering wheel. The combination instrument panel's gear indicator shifts the indication from the current position to a figure that indicates the current gear. The right-hand paddle is used for shifting up and the left for downshifts. The steering wheel paddles are deactivated automatically after a certain amount of time or if the right-hand paddle is held in for about 2 seconds.
