Measuring The Line Pressure

• Connect the pressure gauge according to CONNECTING FUEL PRESSURE GAUGE 
• HINT: If the engines starts, do not override the fuel pump (FP). Continue if this is the case, with: "Read off the line pressure from the pressure gauge". 
• Remove the cover from the integrated relay/fusebox in the engine compartment at the firewall
• Remove the fuel pump (FP) relay (103 (terminal 2/23))
• Connect a cable (as illustrated on the relay base) between terminals 15 and 87
• Turn the ignition key to position II.

Read off the line pressure from the pressure gauge.

The system pressure must be:

• B5254S DENSO 1999:  B5254S DENSO 1999: 300 ± 1 kPa
• other engines with Fenix 5.2:  300 kPa.

Check the residual pressure if the fuel pressure is OK.

Remedy as necessary.
