Steering Column: Description

Steering shaft upper and lower sections are joined by universal joints. On frontal impact, universal joints act to relieve direct impact force. Upper shaft is carried in 2 bushings in column tube. Lower end of steering shaft connects to steering gear with a splined universal joint.
