Steering Column: Description

Steering shaft upper and lower sections are joined by "U" joints. On frontal impact, "U" joints act to relieve direct impact force. Upper shaft is carried in 2 bushings in column tube. Lower end of steering shaft connects to pinion shaft with a "U" joint.
