Coil Resistance Test

Disconnect coil primary "+" and "-" leads from coil. Connect ohmmeter across primary terminals of coil. Resistance should be .7 ohms. Disconnect ohmmeter lead from coil primary "-" post and connect to coil high voltage terminal. Secondary resistance should be about 9500 ohms. Replace coil if not within specification.
