Inspect Clearance
- Jack up the vehicle and push or pull each wheel alternately so as to make sure tire installation and clearance are mounted to the defined measurements.
- If the wheel clearance is large, step on the brake pedal and check if:
- The clearance between the wheels disappears; if so front wheel bearings may be loose, or
- If excess clearance remains, the steering knuckle, front shaft or front suspension may be loose.
