Steering Angle Sensor Test

  1. Start engine. Push TCS ON/OFF switch 3 times within 3 seconds. Slowly, about one turn in 4 seconds, turn steering wheel clockwise (left to right) more than 1.5 turns. Push TCS ON/OFF switch 2 times within 3 seconds.
  2. Slowly, about one turn in 4 seconds, turn steering wheel counterclockwise (right to left) the same number of turns completed in step 1). After steering wheel has moved about one turn, start counting TCS indicator flashes. TCS indicator should flash 2 times. If TCS indicator does not flash as specified, perform appropriate DTC 2-1: STEERING ANGLE SENSOR  flowchart under appropriate CIRCUIT TESTS.
