DTC P1607: Powertrain Control Module (Pcm) Internal Circuit Failure "A"

  1. Perform PCM reset procedure. See PCM RESET PROCEDURE/CLEARING CODES  under SELF-DIAGNOSTIC SYSTEM. Turn ignition on and wait 3 seconds. If DTC P1607 does not reset, problem is intermittent. System is okay at this time. If DTC P1607 resets, go to next step.
  2. Turn ignition off. Connect jumper wire between PCM 31-pin connector terminals No. 18 (Green/Blue wire) and No. 26 (Red/White wire). Turn ignition on. Using scan tool, check engine coolant temperature. If -4°F (-20°C) or less (or L-limit in Honda mode), or 5 volts are present, substitute a known-good PCM and recheck. If -4°F (-20°C) or less (or L-limit in Honda mode), or 5 volts are not present, repair open circuit in Red/White and Green/Blue wires between PCM and ECT sensor.
