DTC 81: TPMS Control Unit Failure (RAM/ROM/ADC/EEPROM/ALU) Check

NOTE: Low battery voltage can cause this DTC. Make sure the battery is fully charged and in good condition.
  1. Clear the DTC (see HOW TO CLEAR TPMS DTCS  ).
  2. Turn the ignition switch OFF, then turn it ON (II) again.

    Is DTC 81 indicated? 

    1. YES  - Check for loose wires or poor connections at the TPMS control unit connectors. If necessary, substitute a known-good TPMS control unit and recheck.
    2. NO  - The system is OK at this time.
