GPS Detail

WARNING: This page is about a different car, the 2009 Acura MDX, 2008 Acura MDX, and 2007 Acura MDX. However, it is still accessible from the selected car via links, so may be relevant.

By pressing and holding the MENU button for 10 seconds, a GPS Detail screen appears. This screen displays real time incoming satellite positional data when the vehicle is outside in the open. The information shown on this screen is for factory use.

The table of values shown on the screen below has the following columns:

GPS DETAIL CHART

Column Description Problem indication
Active Active satellites (Yellow Dot) If 3D or 2D is missing when the vehicle is parked outside, do the GPS icon is white or not shown troubleshooting (see GPS icon is white or not shown  ).
PRN The satellite ID number  
ST The status: 0 = cannot view or searching, 2 = acquiring If all 0, then, do the GPS icon is white or not shown troubleshooting (see GPS icon is white or not shown  ).
AZI Azimuth, the angle (0-360) clockwise from north  
EL Elevation from the horizon (90 deg is overhead)  
C/N N/A Healthy signal is 49-52, no signal: 27-33
ACC N/A  
Δ 1/2 or 2/2 Δ Shows view of all satellites in two screen views 1/2 or 2/2
