DTC B1001: Multiplex Integrated Control Unit (MICU) Internal Error (CPU Error)

NOTE: If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN system diagnosis test mode A (see TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A ).

Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
Turn the ignition switch OFF, and then back ON (II).
Operate the door lock (LOCK/UNLOCK).
Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1001 indicated?
1. YES - Faulty MICU; replace the under-dash fuse/ relay box.
2. NO - Intermittent failure, the MICU is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections. If the connections are good, check the battery condition (see BATTERY TEST ) and the charging system.
