Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor (2004-2005 models)/Engine Coolant Temperature (ECT) Sensor 1 (2006 model)
The ECT sensor (2004-2005 models)/ECT sensor 1 (2006 model) is a temperature dependent resistor (thermistor). The resistance of the thermistor decreases as the engine coolant temperature increases.
