DTC 21: Yaw Rate Sensor Error; DTC 22: Yaw Rate Sensor Center Position Revision Value Error
NOTE:
If DTC 112 is stored at the same time as DTC 21, troubleshoot DTC 112 first, then recheck for DTC 21 or DTC 22.
- Check for VSA system DTCs with the HDS.
Are any DTCs indicated?
YES - Troubleshoot the indicated VSA system DTC(s).
NO - Go to step 2.
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch ON (II).
- Watch the adaptive cruise control (ACC) indicator.
Does the ACC indicator come on?
YES - Go to step 5.
NO - Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time. Check for loose or poor connections.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC 21 or DTC 22 indicated?
YES - Go to step 6.
NO - Troubleshoot the indicated DTC.
- Check YAW RATE S with the HDS.
Is about 2.5 V indicated?
YES - The yaw rate sensor signal is OK, check for loose or poor connections. If OK, replace the ACC unit (see DISTANCE SWITCH TEST ).
NO - Go to VSA system troubleshooting (see ABS/VSA INDICATOR ).
