DTC B1809: Power Seat Control Unit Lost Communication with Door Multiplex Control Unit (Memory Switch Message)
NOTE:
If you are troubleshooting multiple DTCs, be sure to follow the instructions in B-CAN System Diagnosis Test Mode A (see
TROUBLESHOOTING - B-CAN SYSTEM DIAGNOSIS TEST MODE A
).
- Clear the DTCs with the HDS.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF, and then back ON (II).
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Is DTC B1809 indicated?
YES -Go to step 4.
NO -Check for poor connections. If OK, check battery condition and charging system.
- Check for DTCs with the HDS.
Are DTCs B1006, B1010, B1058, B1059, and B1160 indicated?
YES -Go to step 7.
NO -Go to step 5.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Do the POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST (see POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST
).
Is the input test OK?
YES -Faulty power seat control unit.
NO -Refer to the POWER SEAT CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST and correct the cause.
- Turn the ignition switch OFF.
- Do the door multiplex control unit input test (see
DOOR MULTIPLEX CONTROL UNIT INPUT TEST
).
Is the input test OK?
YES -Faulty door multiplex control unit.
NO -Refer to the door multiplex control unit input test and correct the cause.
