Error code: XM NO SIGNAL or XM LOADING is displayed (with navigation)
- Check the vehicle battery condition first (see BATTERY TEST )
- Check the connectors for poor connection or loose terminals
- Check for other error codes (see ERROR CODES , and check the XM Antenna Signal Reception Level (see XM SIGNAL RECEPTION LEVEL INDICATION MODE ).
- Park the vehicle outside with a clear view of the southern horizon
- Turn the ignition switch to ON (II), or press the engine start/stop button to select the ON mode
- Check for other XM error codes (see XM error codes under ERROR CODES ).
Are there other XM error codes displayed?
YES -Go to ERROR CODES .
NO -Go to 4
- Turn on the audio system, and press the XM button to select the XM radio.
Does the XM radio receive a signal?
YES -Reception interference operation is normal
NO -Go to 5
- Turn the ignition switch to LOCK (0), or press the engine start/stop button to select the OFF mode
- Check the XM antenna 2P connector and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector B (2P)
Are the connectors connected?
YES -Go to step 7
NO -Reconnect the XM antenna 2P connector and AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) connector B (2P), and recheck XM radio operation. If the signal is restored, the system is OK. If the signal is not restored, go to step 7.
- Substitute a known-good XM antenna (see XM Antenna Replacement ).
Does the XM radio receive a signal?
YES -USA models: Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead. If the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) receives a signal, replace the original XM antenna lead. If the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) does not receive a signal, replace the AcuraLink control unit (XM receiver) (see AcuraLink Control Unit (XM Receiver) Removal/Installation ).
NO -Canada models: Substitute a known-good XM antenna lead. If the XM receiver receives signal, replace the original XM antenna lead. If the XM receiver does not receive signal, replace the XM receiver (see XM Receiver Removal/Installation ).
