Immobilizer-Keyless Control Unit Replacement

NOTE:

- SRS components are located in this area. Review the SRS component locations Locations, precautions and procedures Service and Repair before doing repairs or servicing.
- All registered keys are necessary for replacement of the immobilizer-keyless control unit.

1. Remove the steering column covers Service and Repair.

2. Disconnect the 7P connector (A) from the immobilizer-keyless control unit (B).





3. Remove the two screws and the immobilizer-keyless control unit from the ignition key cylinder.

4. Install the immobilizer-keyless control unit in the reverse order of removal.

5. After replacement, turn the ignition switch to ON (II).

6. Connect the HDS to the data link connector.

7. Select IMMOBI from SYSTEM SELECTION MENU.

8. Select IMMOBILIZER SETUP from MODE MENU.

9. Select REPLACE IMM UNIT.

10. Operate according to instructions of a screen of HDS.

11. After HDS operation, check the immobilizer system.

12. Verify the operation of every key and remote transmitter.
