4 ORN NAVI ILLUMI + (Illumination positive) Parking light on signal Lights on: battery voltage, Lights off: 0 V If open: When brightness=Auto, night mode for the display is inoperative when lights on.
If short to ground: Auto, night mode for the display is inoperative when lights on.
5 YEL DIAG-(Diagnostic negative) Ground for service check signal 0 V If open: The system will not go into diagnostic mode when using the SCS service connector.
If short to ground: No effect on system.
9 RED(2) HFL/HIP COMM2 (HFL communication 2) Communication signal for HFL 4.5 V DC If open/short: Solid red HFL icon in System Links. Phone icon in the Route To screen is grayed out.
GRN(3) HFL COMM2 (HFL communication 2) Communication signal for HFL 4.5 V DC If open/short: Solid red HFL icon in System Links. Phone icon in the Route To screen is grayed out.
10 WHT(2) HFL/HIP COMM1 (HFL communication 1) Communication signal for HFL 4.5 V DC If open/short: HFL icon in System Links changes between red and green. Phone icon in the Route To screen is grayed out.
BLK(3) HFL COMM1 (HFL communication 1) Communication signal for HFL 4.5 V DC If open/short: HFL icon in System Links changes between red and green. Phone icon in the Route To screen is grayed out.
13 GRY(1) JOG SH (Interface dial Shield jog) Shield for terminal No. 26 -- --
14 GRY(1) MIC SIG SH (HFL mic signal shield) Shield for terminals No. 27 and No. 28 0 V If open/short to ground: No effect on system.
18 RED DIAG + (Diagnostic positive) Service check signal for navigation system 5-6 V If open: No effect on system.
If short to ground: System goes into diagnostic mode at ACC or ON mode.
20 BRN BACK LT (Back light or reverse signal) Reverse signal of select lever from reverse relay In R position: Battery voltage, Otherwise: 0 V If open: Navigation never sees reverse. Diagnostic screen Car Status, Back=0.
If short to ground: Blows the No. 5 (7.5 A) fuse in the driver's under-dash fuse/relay box.
22 BLK(2) HFL/HIP COMM4 (HFL communication 4) Communication signal for HFL 5 V DC If open/short: Solid red HFL icon in System Links. Phone icon in the Route To screen is grayed out.
WHT(3) HFL COMM4 (HFL communication 4) Communication signal for HFL 5 V DC If open/short: Solid red HFL icon in System Links. Phone icon in the Route To screen is grayed out.

24 GRY(1) HFL/HIP COMM SH (shield HFL)(2) Shield for terminals No. 9, No. 10, No. 22, and No. 23 0 V If open/short to ground: No effect on system.
HFL COMM SH (shield HFL)(3) Shield for terminals No. 9, No. 10, No. 22, and No. 23 0 V If open/short to ground: No effect on system.
26 BLU JOG (Interface dial Jog) Interface dial operation signal 0-5 V pulses If open: You cannot operate navigation system.
If short to ground: You cannot operate navigation system.
27 RED MIC SIG- (HFL mic signal negative) Ground for microphone signal 0 V If open: System Links Mic icon shown as red. Mic diag indicator do not work.
If short to ground: No effect on voice recognition.
28 GRN MIC SIG + (HFL mic signal positive) Microphone output signal positive 4-5 V (TALK button pressed) If open/short to ground: System Links Mic icon shown as red. Mic diag indicator do not work.
(1) The shielded wires have a heat-shrink tube insulating the outside of the wire. The color of the insulating tube, typically black or dark gray, may not match the color of the wire listed on the circuit diagram.
