DTC U1280: Communication Bus Line Error on B-CAN (Multi View Camera Unit) (2018-19)

NOTE:  If the B-CAN lines problem or multi view camera unit internal circuit malfunction, HDS does not communicate with the multi view camera unit. If DTC U1280 is indicated HDS, the system is OK at this time.

DTC (MVCS)

1. Connector connection check

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the OFF (LOCK) mode.

   - 2. Check for poor connections or loose terminals at the multi view camera unit A connector (20P).

   Is the multi view camera unit A connector (20P) OK?

   YES 

   Go to step 2.

   NO 

   Repair or reconnect the connector securely.

2. Multi view camera unit check

   -1. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and read the HDS.

   DTC Description	DTC
   U1280 Communication Bus line Error on BCAN

   Does the HDS communicate with the multi view camera unit?

   YES 

   Intermittent failure, the system is OK at this time.

   NO 

   Go to the multiplex integrated control system general troubleshooting - Refer to: How to Troubleshoot the Body Electrical (2015-17) or How to Troubleshoot the Body Electrical (2018-19) . If the symptom is still present, replace the multi view camera unit .
