Removal and Installation

  1. Glove Box - Remove
  2. Keyless Access/TPMS Control Unit - Remove

    1. Disconnect the keyless access/TPMS control unit connectors.

    2. Using TORX E8 bit, remove the bolts (A).

    3. Remove the keyless access/TPMS control unit (B) and the bracket (C).

    4. Remove the keyless access/TPMS control unit (A) from the bracket (B).
  3. All Removed Parts - Install
    1. Install the parts in the reverse order of removal.
    NOTE:

    If the bolt threads of the steering hanger beam are stripped, replace the bolts with one-size larger bolts, which are specifically designed to tighten the instrument panel to the specified torque setting, and provided as service parts.

  4. Keyless Access System - Register
    1. After replacement, register the keyless access/TPMS control unit - Refer to: Keyless Access System Registration (2016 2017 2018 2019 2020) , or Keyless Access System Registration (2014 2015) and memorizing the tire pressure sensor ID .
    NOTE:

    If the original keyless access/TPMS control unit is installed, confirm that all systems work properly.
