Driving Position Memory System Description - Components
Power Seat Motors/Seat Position Sensors
Each motor has a sensor that detects motor rotation and sends a pulse to the power seat control unit when the motor rotates. The control unit stores the number of pulses in its memory when the seat position is memorized.
Driver's Power Seat Adjustment Switch
The driver's power seat control unit controls each power seat motor based on signals from the driver's power seat adjustment switch. The driver's power seat control unit activates the lumbar support by operating the lumbar support adjustment switch in the driver's power seat adjustment switch.
In addition, for the vehicle with 16-way power seat, the gauge control module receives the response signal from the driver's power seat control unit via the B-CAN to display lumbar support mode, thigh support mode, or bolster mode in the center display by operating the mode select switch. Each motor operates by operating the bolster/lumbar/thigh support adjustment switch according to the displayed mode.
