Mark Direction a Upper Side - Do the mount tightening procedure before tightening all of the mount bolts.

- Front Wheel (Both sides)
- Engine Undercover
- Rear Engine Undercover (With rear engine undercover)
- Exhaust Pipe A
■ Procedure:
- Steering Joint DisconnectNOTE: Do not turn a steering wheel while disconnecting a steering joint.
- Lower Arm Ball Joint Disconnect (Both sides)
- Stabilizer Link Ball Joint Disconnect (Both sides)
■ Sub-Procedure
• Removal
1. Be careful not to damage the ball joint boots when installing the ball joint remover. (Figure 1)

2. Disconnect the connector by pushing the lock and the lever up in the numbered sequence. (Figure 2)

3. Remove the bolt on both sides. (Figure 3)

1. Do the following procedure while using the subframe alignment pin.

NOTE: For the removal and installation procedure, refer to Steering Gearbox Removal and Installation - Refer to: Steering Gearbox Removal and Installation or Steering Linkage and Gearbox Inspection and the sub procedure below.■ Sub-Procedure
• Removal
- Using clean solvent and a brush, wash any oil and dirt off the end of the steering gearbox, blow dry with compressed air.
• Installation
Tightening Procedure
Procedure Item 1 Loosely install All bolts(a, b, c, d) 2 Tighten to specifications Bolt (a) 3 Tighten to specifications Bolt (b) 4 Tighten to specifications Bolt (c) 5 Tighten to specifications Bolts (d) • After Installation
- 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect
- Check these items:
- With the front wheels straight ahead, make sure the steering wheel is centered and the turning revolutions from center to full lock (left and right) is equal. If not, check the installation of the steering wheel and the engagement of the joint/pinion shaft splines.
- With the tires raised off the ground, check for noise and abnormality by turning the steering wheel fully to the right and left several times.
- Check the power steering assist .
- Check that the EPS indicator does not come on.
- Wheel Alignment Check
- VSA Sensor Neutral Position Memorization - Refer to: VSA Sensor Neutral Position Memorization or VSA Modulator-Control Unit Update
