Turbocharger Boost Sensor Functional Inspection (2)

Test Procedure 

• Procedure

• Turn the vehicle to the ON mode.
• Note the value of HDS [TC Boost Pressure].
• Start the engine.
• Hold the engine speed at 3, 000 rpm without load (CVT in P or N, M/T in neutral) until the radiator fan comes on, then let it idle.
• Hold the engine speed at 4, 500 rpm without load.
• Confirm the HDS [TC Boost Pressure] value with the noted value.

• Normal Conditions
• • -

    The HDS [TC Boost Pressure] value changes 0.67 kPa (0.2 inHg, 5 mmHg) or more  from the noted value.

Results 

• If it is abnormal, there is a problem with the turbocharger boost sensor.
