   • After inspecting the A-pillar trim, install the A-pillar trim.

    NOTICE: 

    If you are replacing the front seat belt outer lap tensioner after a deployment, refer to Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment - Refer to: Airbag and Tensioner Disposal or SRS Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment for a complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.

    • 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Disconnected

    Installation 

    NOTICE: 

    Before installing the B-pillar lower trim, make sure the SRS indicator works normally.

    After Installation 

    • 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect
    • Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.

    • Review the precautions and procedures before doing repairs or service .
    • Wait at least 3 minutes, after disconnecting the 12 volt battery terminal.

    NOTE:  If you are replacing the front seat belt after a deployment, refer to Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment - Refer to: Airbag and Tensioner Disposal or SRS Component Replacement/Inspection After Deployment for a complete list of other parts that must also be replaced.

    • Be careful not to bump (by impact wrench, hammer, etc.) the area around the side impact sensor.
