Front Passenger's Power Seat Motor Test (Without Seat Position Memory System): Test

How to use this service information .

NOTICE: 

When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions for the procedure.

Slide/Height/Tilt 

1. Slide Motor/Height Motor/Tilt Motor - Test

   Preconditions 

   • Front Passenger's Seat Removed

   Procedure/Specifications 

   • Test each motor in each direction by connecting power and ground according to the table. (Figure 1, 2, 3, and 4)

     NOTICE:  To prevent damage to the motor, apply battery voltage only momentarily. (Figure 1, 2, 3, and 4)

   Motor Details (Figure 1) 

   Name
   a	Slide Motor
   b	Height Motor
   c	Tilt Motor

   Result 

   • If the motor does not operate as specified, replace the seat cushion frame .

   Recline 

2. Recline Motor - Test

   Preconditions 

   • Front Passenger's Seat-Back Cover/Pad Removed

   Recline Motor (Figure 1)

   Procedure/Specifications 

   • Test each motor in each direction by connecting power and ground according to the table. (Figure 1 and 2)

     NOTICE:  To prevent damage to the motor, apply battery voltage only momentarily. (Figure 1 and 2)

   Result 

   • If the motor does not operate as specified, replace the seat-back frame .

   Thigh Support 

3. Thigh Support Motor - Test (With 16-Way Power Seat)

   Preconditions 

   • Power Thigh Support Carrier Cover Removed

   Procedure/Specifications 

   • Test each motor in each direction by connecting power and ground according to the table. (Figure 1 and 2)

     NOTICE:  To prevent damage to the motor, apply battery voltage only momentarily. (Figure 1 and 2)

   Result 

   • If the motor does not operate as specified, replace the thigh support motor assembly .

   Lumbar Support 

4. Lumbar Support Motor - Test

   Preconditions 

   • Front Passenger's Seat-Back Outer Panel Removed
