Repair Procedure
NOTE:
- Make sure you review the A/C service tips and precautions before doing repairs or servicing.
- Review the A/C refrigerant oil replacement procedure - Refer to: A/C Refrigerant Oil Replacement or A/C Refrigerant Oil Adjustment before doing repairs or service.
- Plug or cap the lines immediately after disconnecting them to avoid moisture and dust contamination.
- Apply compressor oil - Refer to: A/C Refrigerant Oil Replacement or A/C Refrigerant Oil Adjustment when installing new O-rings for A/C systems.

Removal/Installation
- To prevent damage, hold the A/C pressure sensor mounting block (a) in place with a wrench.
After Installation
- A/C Refrigerant Evacuate and Charge
- A/C System Test - Refer to: A/C System Test

Preconditions
- A/C Refrigerant Recovered
- Engine Coolant Drained (3.0 L engine) - Refer to: Coolant Replacement (3.0L Engine)
Key Information
Do the following before starting your work.
Remove:
- Front Bulkhead - Refer to:
Radiator Area(3.0L Engine)
NOTE: Remove the front bulkhead with the hood latch and the hood opener cable installed.
Disconnect:
- Sub Radiator Inlet Hose (3.0 L engine) - Refer to: Radiator Area(3.0L Engine)
Move:
- Radiator (3.0 L engine) - Refer to: Radiator Area(3.0L Engine)
After Installation
- Engine Coolant Refill (3.0 L engine) - Refer to: Coolant Check (3.0L Engine) or Coolant Replacement (3.0L Engine)
- A/C Refrigerant Evacuate and Charge
- A/C System Test - Refer to: A/C System Test

Sub-Procedure
Installation
- Install the desiccant as quickly as possible to prevent the system from absorbing moisture from the air.
- Be careful not to damage the cap. It is made of resin and can be easily stripped.
