Before Aiming Setting (Integrated Driver Support System / Static Aiming) (2025): Adjustment

How to use this service information .

NOTICE: 

• When working with a vehicle equipped with the electronic air suspension, be sure to set it to the leveling off mode to prevent unexpected operation. Refer to the Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions - Refer to: Electronic Air Suspension System Connector Fitting Precautions (2022-25) or Electronic Air Suspension System Service Precautions (2022-25) for the procedure.
• The following describes the details of the Integrated Driver Support System. Refer to Driving Support System Description for the function applied to your vehicle - Refer to: Driving Support System Description(Integrated Driver Support System (Camera and Five Radars)) (2025) or Driving Support System Description(Integrated Driver Support System) (2025) or Driving Support System Description (2022-25) .

NOTE: 

• Refer to the static aiming of each sensor for the vehicle conditions and working environment for the aiming.
• When marking on the floor surface, use suitable tape to mark the exact locations.

Prepare these items:

• Tape measure and ruler
• Felt-tip pen
• Tape
• String (A laser cross liner can be used as an alternative)
• Plumb bob

1. Measure the Lines Along the Sides of the Vehicle - Set

   Preconditions 

   • Transmission P Position/Mode
   • Parking Brake Applied

   Procedure 

   1. Find the center of one wheel (a) using the centering stand and mark it.

   2. Measure the distance (b) from the edge of the centering stand and mark a new point Z1 that intersects the wheel's center-line.

   NOTE:  Repeat this step for each wheel (Z2, Y1 and Y2).

   Distance Details

   b	76. 2 mm (3. 00 in)

   3. Place a string (c) between point Z1 and point Y1, point Z2 and point Y2 and tape both ends of the string on the floor surface.

2. Cord Along the Center-Line of the Vehicle - Set

   NOTE: 

   • When installing an aiming target at the front of the vehicle, use the centering stand in the front.
   • When installing an aiming target at the rear of the vehicle, use the centering stand in the rear.

   Procedure 

   1. Hang the plumb bob from the center of the radar cover (a), and mark a new point X on the floor surface where the tip of the plumb bob touches the floor surface.

   2. Align the pointer of the centering stand to the hole of the rear jacking bracket (b), then mark a new point W at the center-line of the centering stand.

   For targets at the front of the vehicle 

   3. Position the gas strut holder of the alignment set between the floor and the rear jacking bracket at point W.

   4. Place the center-line of the centering stand at point X and run the cord through it.

   5. Place the cord in front of the centering stand until you are ready to the set up the target position for the applicable aiming procedure.

   For targets at the rear of the vehicle 

   6. Secure one end of the cord on the floor at point X using tape. Lightly pull on the cord to make sure it is secure.

   7. Place the center-line of the centering stand at point W and run the cord through it.

   8. Place the cord in front of the centering stand until you are ready to the set up the target position for the applicable aiming procedure.
