    WARNING:

    Preconditions

    Installation 

    NOTE:  Before installing the center console, make sure the SRS indicator works normally.

    NOTE:
    • Make sure the SRS unit has the latest software. If it does not have the latest, update the software in the SRS unit .
    • Be careful not to bump (by impact wrench, hammer, etc.) the area around the SRS unit.

    Tightening Procedure 

    Step Operation Object Specification
    1 Tighten All Bolts -> ->

    After Installation 

    1. 12 Volt Battery Negative Terminal Reconnect

    2. Yaw Rate-Acceleration Neutral Position Memorization

    NOTE:

    After replacing the SRS unit with a new one, memorize the yaw rate-acceleration neutral position.

    3. Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Initialization - Refer to: Front Passenger's Weight Sensor Initialization

    NOTE:

    After replacing the SRS unit with a new one, initialize the front passenger's weight sensors.

    4. Turn the vehicle to the ON mode, and check that the SRS indicator comes on for about 6 seconds and then goes off.

    NOTE:  Clean the plate surface with a shop towel dampened in isopropyl alcohol. After cleaning, keep oil, grease, and water from getting on the surface.
