Ignition System: Description

A Bosch EZ-L digital electronic ignition system with vacuum advance is used on V-6 engines. Ignition advance is controlled by an ignition Electronic Control Unit (ECU). The ECU receives signals from the fuel injection system, distributor and coolant temperature switch. The distributor contains a pulse generator which signals the ECU. Timing can be adjusted by turning distributor.
