Ignition Coolant Temperature Sensor

  1. Ignition coolant temperature sensor is located in the thermostat housing. See Fig 1. Using ohmmeter, check that contact to ground is closed with engine cold.
  2. Operate engine until coolant temperature is at least 95-106°F (35-41°C). Contacts should open at this temperature. Replace unit if not to specification.
